Why Invest in Karo Mining?
Tier-One PGM Asset
The Karo Platinum Project is a long-life, low-cost, open-pit Platinum Group Metals operation with the potential to contribute significantly to global PGM supply.
Strategic Location
Situated on Zimbabwe’s Great Dyke, the second-largest PGM-bearing geological structure in the world after South Africa’s Bushveld Complex, offering unparalleled mineral endowment.
Robust Project Development
Continuous construction progress with a defined pathway to production, reducing development risk and enhancing investor confidence.
Strong Governance & Leadership
Guided by an accomplished management team operating under a transparent, ethical corporate framework that prioritises accountability and strategic growth.
Commitment to ESG
Sustainability practices are deeply integrated into operations, creating long-term value and mitigating potential risks.
Growth Potential
Extensive resource endowment within our concessions offers multi-generational opportunities for expansion and value creation.
Favorable Market Fundamentals
Strong demand for PGMs from both established uses (automotive catalytic converters) and emerging green technologies (hydrogen economy, fuel cells).
Project Location & Geological Advantage
The Great Dyke is a PGM-bearing geological feature running north–south for approximately 550 km and up to 11 km wide, second only to South Africa’s Bushveld Complex in terms of PGM resource base. Formed over 2.5 billion years ago, it consists of layered igneous rocks ranging from ultramafic to mafic compositions.
The Karo Project area spans both flanks of the Great Dyke, hosting the Main Sulphide Zone (MSZ), the primary source of PGMs in the region. Drilling indicates MSZ depths of approximately 700 m in the south, 1 000 m in the centre and 600 m in the north of the tenement, with vertical faults trending east–west.
Location Highlights:
- Mashonaland West Province, Zimbabwe – Approximately 80 km southwest of Harare and 35 km southeast of Chegutu.
- Excellent Infrastructure – Well-connected by road and rail networks, with multiple regional border crossings for efficient logistics.
Tenement Size – The project covers approximately 23 903 hectares of mineral-rich land.
